Which Free Software Can Help Me To Insert Timestamp And/or Datestamp To My Digital Photos?

I want to find a software which can help me to insert timestamp and/or datestamp to my photos stored in my computer. The software must not require me to type the time and date myself.
The software must be completely free. I do not accept trial version.
I accept both open source and non-open source free software.

That would be deceiving! You should use the date time stamp feature of the camera. If you use the computer to do it, they can analyze the photo and tell it was changed.
