The best free Anti-Virus programs are AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition (they also have free anti-spyware and anti-rootkit) and avast! Anti-Virus.
The best free spyware removal and prevention tools are Spybot Search & Destroy, SpyCatcher Express and Spyware Blaster. Each works a bit differently so having them all can really help a tech with pervasive infections.
Also, you should have HiJackThis and CCleaner. They are great tools for digging deep into the system.
All the tools here are Adware and Spyware free.
You can find links to the download pages for these as well as other free software packages here: http://www.gara.com/freesoftware/securit…

It appears you’ve posted this same question at least twice, using slightly different screen names: This is the answer I gave you already:
These are the programs I put on all my computers to help keep them clean and up to date, as well as to help me determine problems if the computer developes a problem. I’ve also included some programs you should find useful. All are free downloads:
    1. AVG Antivirus
    2. Ad-aware Antispyware
    3. Spybot Search and Destroy Antispyware
    4. EasyCleaner (the “true” version)
    5. WinZip (not free but they offer a free evaluation version that works well)
    6. Adobe Reader (to read PDF documents)
    7. Belarc Advisor (tells a lot about your computer and what’s installed on it)
    8. BigFix (provides all the updates for your computer programs)
    9. CNET Bandwidth speed test
    10. Crucial.com (a site that tells you what type RAM your computer is using and should use)
    11. PC Pitstop (evaluates your computer’s operations)
