Hi thanks to yahoo answers i was able to download a recovery software from internet to recover deleted files from sys. But i have a problem here, Im able to recover files ranging from the year2007but wen i open the file(pic-Jpeg) it is blank.It is the same with the vdo files, nothing opens. Plz help me.

Specifically what I want to do is shoot a video of somebody interviewing nobody, then shoot the same person answering the questions and then merge the two so that it looks good.
It would be better if the software is free (and even more preferable if not trialware).

I know that if you have a mem card in your digital camera that you can using recovery software to retrieve it. However, when doing that, the software only finds my hard drives. And when looking it “My Computer”, it lists the cam as a portable device, not a drive. I know you shouldnt take pictures until you retrieve the old ones. But are digital cameras like memory cards? Where is this info stored? IS it stored or permanently deleted?

I have a Toshiba laptop and my wife has an older Dell which has limited software installed. Could I use the recovery (startup) disks from my Toshiba and install them on the Dell?
