On my Acer Aspire 4250 laptop my screen went black and a “Windows Error Recovery” message appears, it says “windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause” and when I tried the Startup Repair it wouldn’t work and I couldn’t reformat it either. How do I fix it without a disk?

i downloaded it off download.com and since then the dang thing has been coming on every night and trying to scan. i cannot, repeat cannot, meaning, i am unable to find it to uninstall the monster. i have searched the hard drive and went to add/remove software. it is not, repeat, not on the list. someone please help me as it is preventing me from updating other software due to the conflict.

Is There Any Software For Helping A Teenager Learn How To Read And Write?

I work with a young person (aged 13) who can barely read or write. He is a very proud young man and as such prefers to hide behind aggression and calling everyone else around him stupid. That said, he has engaged occasionally with trying to learn, however I think he would really benefit from some sort of computer game or software, which wouldn’t make him feel like he was a baby, but would help him learn to read and write from a very basic level. Does anyone know of any such software?

I’m looking for the dell system recovery cd but I don’t know if I have it, probably not. I have one that says for reinstalling dell tools system software, one says reinstalling sonic recordnow, one says dell dimension resource cd, one says reinstallation cd for xp, and one says reinstalling data/ fax modem. Any of these the system recovery? Sorry I know nothing about computers.

Data Recovery. Hard Drive Won’t Start Up, Only 2 Months Old And Makes A Clicking Noise.?

I need to know if this is an easy problem to fix or if there is a cheap way under $500(AU) to get the data back. It is an 80GB hard drive with less than 25GB of data. Would software recovery work? Or is it a mechanical problem?
It is a SATA hard drive out of a laptop. I have attempted to plug it in using an external hard drive casing but nothing was detected… please please help!!
