Corrupted Excel And Word Files?
I was running partition magic on my harddisk when the contents of my D drive dissappeared. Using a recovery tool I was able to retrieve the contents of my D drive. But then, I cant view approximately 70% of the files. The files are corrupted. They open with chinese and ascii characters. I have tried the following utilities and have not been succcessful so far.
1.RecoveryFix for Excel
2.WordFix & ExcelFix (Cinema Office Fix)
3.Quick Recovery for Microsoft Excel/Word
4.Recovery Toolbox for Excel/Word
5.Office Recovery 2008 (ultimate enterprise)
6.Advance Excel Repair
Can anyone out there advise any powerful recovery utility / software to assist me in this ? I am willing to pay for the utility as long as I am able to recover the files as they are very very important.

I’m afraid i can’t help here – if all your files are like this you may need to hire a specialist data recovery expert.
You could try http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/collect...
and see if you can get any more data recovered, but i’m afraid it doesn’t look good.
One thing to note. The more you use the computer and add files to it, the more corrupt those lost files may become. If the files are that important, i’d call in a specialist before they are totally unrecoverable.
