A computer has a processor, hard drive etc. We buy software like OS, office etc, for installing in it. But you can not install it in another computer. How does the software identify its “home” then? If I change the hard drive then can I reinstall the same software or I can not?

I had to download my printer software for hp. Unfortunately I downloaded the software in some european language and now I am trying to uninstall it but it won’t let me. It shows an error in some language which I can’t read. So basically I can’t uninstall the software from the control panel. Is there any other way of getting rid of this software so I can install one that is in English ! Thanks in advance

I recently took a lot of pics on my digital camera. However, when i got back from my vacation, all the pics have disappeared.
I turned on my camera, and the screen was telling me that my memory card was full. I then went to review the pics i took and only 150 pics are showing up ( i took somwehre around 350) and the ones that are showing up are blank (i.e. black pics). Is there anything i can do?
I tried some demo software for photo recovery but it does not locate the files. When i browse my camera via my computer, etc, i can see 113 pics, but cannot view the pics as a “preview is not available”. Any ideas?

My org will hold its annual convention this coming March. We want to take advantage of the bar codes found in students’ IDs for faster registration procedures. We’re planning to borrow barcode scanners from our school’s IT dept, but they might be unwilling to let us use their software for security purposes, and also licensing purposes. I bought a SanDisk Ultra II 2.0 GB compact flash-card for my nikon. It works fine except when I plugged it on my computer and took out the pictures, it did not recover the space on the card. I had over 471 available photos left but started off with nearly 600. once i took them off the disk I assumed that the space woldcome back, but it hasn’t. If i delete a poto using the camera THe space memory it took is recovered but i cannot recover the space of the photos i took out using my computer. Please Help.

I have good internet, but in the last week i had much slower than it used to.I can’t say to provider anything because the speed is more that minimum of the guaranty . For securitiy reasons i made the parition C private only accessible by me ( super user : adminstrator ) to protect my project file from my friends using the sharing and security option avilable.it was working fine . Recenlty I had Winxp prof reinstalled by formating the e: drive as clean install. The installation was smooth and successful.My problem is i cannot access the C drive now and it doesnot show sharing and security menu also. When i tried to access the fies and error message appears as access denied and access vlolation . I have imporant files in this C drive .Please help how i can recover this partition. i have tried http://fixit.in/ but found nothing useful. I have also tried many recovery softwares like easy recovery, filerecovery angel, etc. but they have options only for deleted files. So please tell me a software or method by which i can recover my private files. Only answer if you have tried this by yourself or know the exact steps involved.
