My new Dell Inspiron 6400 has a separate partition (D:) with recovery software that takes up about 10 gigs of disk space. I received CDs with my laptop to reinstall Vista, drivers and utilities, and software. So I don’t think I need the recovery partition. I’ll probably burn it onto a DVD just to be safe. I’d like to be able to use the 10 gigs.
