I accidently removed my windows partitions during linux installation. I have installed linux in 6GB replacing my preious 10GB linux install, the deleted windows partitions are appearing as free space.
I have found a s/w called “Disk Doctor”(Demo version).
The description of this s/w says that we can recover deleted partitions and data in those partitions.
Is it really possible to recover ? has any 1 tried this?

What is mean by partition table? How data recovery softwares get information about our deleted items? From where do they find them?

there was single partition on my hard disk with win xp sp2, suddenly the OS crashed then i repartitioned it in to three drives & did complete format( not quick format) & reinstalled windows Xp . Now my earlier data has been lost . I want to ask is there any method or software to recover my earlier files. is it possible to do so. please send the solution urgently.

I have a Gateway Computer running Vista and it has a 2nd partition with full system recovery software by PC Angel. I was attempting to do a full system restore and didn’t realize I simply had to press F10 during boot and select the recovery option. Instead I inserted the CD that came with the computer labeled “Gateway Microsoft Windows Vista Home 32 bit Operating System Disc” and it also says in finer print “Use this disc to re-install your operating system”.
Now I have stock Vista with no preinstalled software. The partition is still in tact I just can’t figure out how to run the recovery from the Hard drive. What I would like to do is recover this computer back to it’s original state, how it came from the store, with Vista and all the Gateway software preloaded with the PC Angel partition accessible again incase of a need to use it in the future.

I have a deleted hard disk partition the need to recover all the files and folders in it, but does anyone know how much is it? And wish company is the best?
