How To Expand C Partition Without Affecting The Stability Of The Computer?

My C partition is about 12GB, and it’s running out of space. The remainder is about 700MB. I am satisfied with the convenience while using my computer and I don’t want to install all software again. I heard that adding additional space with partition software affects the stability of a computer.
I want to GHOST Partition C, and then save .GHO image in USB disk. After fdisking and re-paritioning my disk, I can recovery my C from USB driver? Is it OK? Can a computer detect USB disk before installing OS? will the Table be right? Thanks.

Can I Recover Deleted Photos From A Mobile Phone?

Hi there, I recently managed to delete all but three of the pictures on a friends mobile phone, by accident. The pictures were from her holiday and various visits so obviously they were very important to her and I need to get them back. I already know of many applications that claim to recover files from memory cards, but the problem with this situation is that the phone (Samsung D900) didn’t have a memory card in, so the photographs were saved to the phone memory.
The phone memory is not currently accessible by windows explorer, and only through samsung’s ‘pc studio’ application.
If there is any way or are any applications that can get these photos back, I’d be grateful to hear of them.

Recover Data After Computer Hard Drive Has Been Partitioned And Formatted?

My computer encountered a virus that I had to call a friend who could only get rid of the virus by doing a system restore and then do a partition of the hard disk and formatted it (what ever that means) now I have lost all my important Documents My valuable Family photos and three accounts I had in the computer, i had no idea doing all this would lose my entire computer stuff, and am really sad that this has happened, is there any way I can get my pictures and documents back. Please help, this would be great help from you.

I Need Help Installing My Pc Camera– A Recovery Partition Warning Keeps Coming Up Everytime I Try To Install.

I have an emachine computer ( bought new in Feb of ’06) & I just bought a Philips PC camera which includes software. Everytime I try to load the software to disc drive D as I am told this warning comes up & won’t let me do anything. This problem happens for other discs I have also (not games discs tho). How do I over ride the warning? Please help me. I apprecitate any & all help I can get.

My Sd Memory Card For My Digital Camera Is Broken! Is There Any Way To Fix It Or At Least Recover My Photos?

I’m away travelling for 3 months with my friend and I’ve taken some truly classic photos. However, a couple of days ago it just randomly stopped working…the power on my camera turns on but I cannot take any photos or review ones I’ve already taken. I inserted the memory card into a computer slot and it wasn’t recognised. I took it to a Kodak shop and the lady said she could fix it and recover 80% of the photos by formatting the memory card, so she tried that but that didn’t work either. I really, really don’t want to lose these photos, they mean the world to me! Is there anything I can do or any place I can take it to where my pictures can be recovered? Thankyou!

Why Won’t My Pc Give My New Hard Disk A Drive Letter?

I suffered a hard disk failure the other night. :-( I managed to re-animate my operating system from the backup copy I had on the partition, but obviously all my recent files are lost. (I’ve backed up files previously, but not for the last few weeks). I’ve put in a second hard drive to recover files from c: to, but the PC won’t ascribe a drive letter. I’ve got a 200GB drive with C: and D: (as the OS backup partition) on a SCSI. There are 2 SCSI ports on my motherboard. I’ve also got 2 optical drives running as master and slave on one IDE and now I’ve connected a 320GB drive to the other IDE. I’ve tried attaching via the master and slave sockets on the IDE and changing the jumpers from factory setting (cable select) to device 1 (slave) and device 1 (slave present). The hardware manager accepts that there is a hard disk drive present, but won’t give it a drive letter. It also claims that ‘this device is working properly’!

WHich is the best way to create a recovery partition which could not be accessed by user and yet entire system restore could be dumped upon the same. With any small utility which could either be inbuilt or to run from some bootable cd could be used during disaster to recover the software. It is same as is being used in most of fresh laptops these days.
