I am currently without protection as my antivirus software has run out. Therefore, very dubious about downloading anything – for instance, just went on a site looking suspiciously like Norton, but not holding any logos or correct looking accrediation – hit one button and its wanting you to download. Seems very suspicious to me….

I have a Canon 350D EOS and bought a 2GB Compact flash card.
Unfortunately the memory card has failed and I have now lost all my precious honeymoon photos. (Not even a specialist lab could restore the CF card)
Someone informed me that images are sometimes recoverable from the Camera itself (even though it has no extensive built in memory as such)
Is this really possible? This could be my last hope to recover these precious images!!!

Okay so I have a major dilemma with my HP Pavilion DV2035 notebook. I recently used a friends Vista Ultimate upgrade to convert from Xp to Vista. Not thinking that it would only work on one computer, vista is now prompting me to activate windows and when i do it says my product key is already in use. My hard drive has a recovery partition which can be used to restore to factory conditions, but it requires Hp recovery manager software, which got erased on the vista upgrade. Will the hp recovery cd-rom’s re-install xp if i order them? Can I get Hp recovery manager and restore it from my recovery partition? Any comments help, thanks

I want to reset my compaq to a factory settings, clear everything. I did the F10 method at the startup, but it ask for an administrator password when i try to enter the c:Windows recovery. I do not know the password, so anyways I go to HP tools – Recovery .. and when i click yes it gives me the message of “recovery partition not found no software is available for reinstallation” … I don’t want to order the disks if I don’t have to … any suggestions?

I used to have lots of personal digital photos on my computer, of friends and family and such.
I also used to have lots of random photo files saved on my computer that I saved from web surfing, such as art work, interesting finds, etc.
Through the years I ended up deleting everything, thus leaving me with no personal photos, which I now greatly miss. I want them back! So, intelligent friends, how do I go about getting JUST my digital photos back? What’s the quickest, easiest, way? I am hoping to recover photos from 2004-2006, if possible. Please point me in the right direction! I am pretty handy with the computer, but I have no clue where to start when it comes to recovering files. (P.S- I’ve tried some free photo recovery downloads whilst using a memory card reader, but they only recovered about 100 photos on each memory card I had…is there a program that would deeply recover? Maybe even every single photo taken on the memory card?)
