Hard Disk Problem, It Is Not Showing Partitions While Installing Windows Xp.?

Its a Samsung HDD. It is showing only HDD space but not showing any partition. but it has 2 partitions. I tried to install Windows, it gave redundancy error and i rebooted the machine, then it was not showing any partition but showing disk and its space. I have also tried Fixmbr in Recovery console but its not running. when i enter Recovery console it shows c: and when move to cd drive i.e. d: , i am not able to come back on c: or any other drive. Even i want to recover D drive. Plz help, how can i recover its primary partition so that i can install Windows.
