How Can I Delete The Recovery Partition On My Acer Laptop?

I’ve made the recovery DVDs which are able to restore to factory settings without the partition.
the disk management in vista sees the partition, but won’t let me touch it (only option it gives me is “help)
i’ve booted from my vista DVD to attempt to delete it that way, but it cannot see the partition.
does anyone have any other suggestions? any partition management software i can try?
i do know what i am doing, so please don’t respond with “don’t delete it” or something of the sort :)

  1. sooother says:

Use fdisk,, either on a floppy , likely you don’t have one..
Boot from an old win98 cd.. It wil have fdisk on it.
    Delete partition and then format
You could just download the files ,fdisk and format, and create a bootable cd.
You could also use such programs as Partition Magic or Norton Ghost.
    Good Luck
